The Wayne State Farmers Market is back for its fifth year, offering locally grown goods like fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. The market runs every Wednesday now until Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Located at 5201 Cass Ave. in front of the Meyer and Anna Prentis Building and across from the Detroit Public Library, the farmers market is a project of SEED Wayne, which works with local organizations to promote food planning, security and sustainability.

The market accepts cash, BrigeCard, DoubleUp Food Bucks, Project FRESH and Senior Project FRESH coupons. Free 15-minute parking is also available on Cass Avenue.
