Davis' record breaking game paces WSU into next round of playoffs

*Final: Warriors 48, Huskies 38*. Wayne State advances. Davis breaks record for rushing yards in a game (38 carries, 326 yards, 5 TDs).

*Fourth Quarter*:

*2:31*: Huskies receiver Damon Treat broke some weak arm tackles on his way to a 74-yard touchdown. *Warriors 48, Huskies 38*.

*3:42*: Toney Davis does it again. The fourth player to rush for 300 yards (33 carries, 300), and the second player to rush for 5 scores, Davis dashed 20 yards for yet another big touchdown. *Warriors 48, Huskies 31*.

*Third Quarter*:

*0:50*: Following a sizable kick return by Renel, Davis takes the ensuing run 47 yards for the touchdown. Davis is sporting 223 yards on 23 carries with 4 TDs. *Warriors 41, Huskies 31*.

*1:09*: Huskies answer with a 4th-down 9-yard touchdown pass from Klaphake to R. Robinson. The score was set up by Klaphake's 49-yard run, putting the ball on the WSU 16 yardline. *Warriors 34, Huskies 31*.

*3:21*: Raleigh Ross intercepted a tipped ball and returned it 78 yards for a touchdown. Warriors 34, Huskies 24*.

*HALF*: *WSU 27, SCSU 24*

*Second Quarter:*

Davis: 142 yards on 17 carries, 3 TDs; Renel: 68 yards on 6 carries, 1 TD; 3 for 8, 27 yards passing; receiver Troy Burrell: 2 catches, 24 yards.

Warriors rushing: 202 yards; Huskies rushing: 41 yards.

Warriors passing: 27 yards; Huskies passing: 165

SCSU QB Klaphake: 14-for-23 passing and 1 TD.

*0:01* Huskies answer back with a 23-yard Tyler Aldridge field goal. The drive was helped by a couple Warriors penalties. *Warriors 27, Huskies 24*.

*1:36*: The Warriors are gashing the Huskies on the ground. Davis scored his third touchdown of the game. He now has 142 yards rushing -- going over the 1,000 yard mark for the season -- and the Warriors take the lead. *Warriors 27, Huskies 21*.

*5:52*: Not to be out done, Toney Davis answers Renel's run with a 33-yard touchdown run of his own. The play was set up by a botched punt and the Warriors tackling the punter inside Huskies territory. *Huskies 21, Warriors 20*

*8:08*: Josh Renel puts Warriors back in the game with a 55-yard touchdown rush up the middle. It was his longest run of the season. *Huskies 21, Warriors 13.*

*12:05*: SCSU Michael Walker punches in 2-yard touchdown. The play was set up by a Klaphake scramble on third down and a Walker 4th down run. *Huskies 21, Warriors 6*.

*First Quarter:*

*6:29*: St. Cloud State blocked punt leads to 3-yard Dante Steward touchdown run. *Huskies 7, Warriors 0.*

*3:08*: Thanks to a roughing the passer call, Toney Davis carries the load and punches it in from 2 yards out for the score. But the Warriors botch the extra point, *7-6*.

*1:22*: Going on 4th-and-3, SCSU quarterback Phillip Klaphake passes for 30-yard touchdown. *14-6 Huskies*.

*End*: Josh Renel fumbles gives the ball back to St. Cloud.

*Stats*: Davis: 53 yards rushing, 1 touchdown; Renel 13 yards on 5 carries; Mohner 1-for-3 passing for 3 yards.
