MOCAD showcases new exhibits centered around urban voices
This weekend the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit opened two exhibitions, Vertical Urban Factory and Post-Industrial Complex, with each show based around an aspect of innercity life. Post-Industrial Complex challenges the idea of a city’s story as a single narrative, instead asserting that it is really the collective sound of many independent voices. Vertical Urban Factory centers on the evolution of factories and other industrial structures across time and international borders and is heavy in content and information.
