Imagine, you open up your social media account and the first picture you see is a built-looking male celebrity with his shirt off. The picture has tons of “likes” and the comments are all praising how good he looks.
Just because you are comfortable discussing suicide does not mean people will think you are suicidal (just had to get that out the way). Now let’s begin the conversation.
The life of a college student is busy and stressful, and that means your diet and exercise schedule often get left out in the cold. Whether you are just starting out as an undergrad or are already a graduate or professional student, knowing how to stay healthy on Wayne State campus is no small feat. Luckily, you have a number of good resources right here on campus to help prepare you for the year ahead. Here are a 5 easy tips to help you stay healthy and feeling good:
Back in Kindergarten, making friends was as easy as sharing your 64-pack of Crayolas. Nowadays, as a college student, it’s not so easy — especially at Wayne State.
Tinder, Grindr, OkCupid, the list goes on. There are countless apps and websites aimed at finding companionship, and frankly, it’s weird. Swiping through pages of people, judging by a photo and whatever other information they’ve listed on their profile, doesn’t seem very natural.
In the last fifteen years just between Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook Elementary, Aurora, Colorado, Isla Vista, California, and most recently, Seattle, Washington 90 people have been killed in shootings. These are some of the most horrific and terrifying events to happen in my lifetime.
Sept. 11 has always been a day filled with memories.
