The death of Deepak Bhalla, the dean of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, was announced by the Office of the President on March 16.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to our university community, the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and, most of all, his family and friends,” President M. Roy Wilson said in the statement. “[Bhalla] was a dedicated scholar and educator, and he will be missed by all who knew and worked with him.”

The cause of Bhalla’s death was not disclosed in the statement, however, more information will be sent out from the Office of the President regarding arrangements to celebrate Bhalla’s life and accomplishments.
