The booming music, mouthwatering food, local merchandise tents and line of visitors are typical for Dally in the Alley, running this year from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the Cass Corridor.
Dally in the Alley is a community and volunteer-run street fair showcasing music, art, clothing and food from all areas of Detroit.
This year’s musical acts will be on four different stages with the earliest lineup beginning at 11:15 a.m. Some of the musical performers this year include Hazmat live, Detroit Trio, Tart, Adje and the Detroit-based band, ERODERS. Dally, being one of the major festivals Detroit houses, showcases and selects various Detroit and Michigan-based musicians to put on spectacular shows to keep the crowd on their feet.
This year’s food vendor selection does not disappoint. Some of this year’s selections include the Majestic Café, Union Street, Detroit Shrimp and Fish, Delectabowl and Yum Village.
According to its website, The North Cass Community Union sponsors the Dally in the Alley street fair and donates its proceeds from the festival to the projects in North Cass to help the community.
Dally in the Alley happens every Saturday after Labor Day and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. For more information, visit https://dallyinthealley.com/.
